I realy hope not....
I’ve wanted to do this for some time now.
Not sure why?
Maybe it is the die-hard frustrated crafster in me, or maybe
it is my passionate lust for yarn or maybe it is just me missing my ouma (grandmother). But this past weekend I bought myself a
knitting machine.
Terribly un-cool I know, and oh so not trendy but you know
what stuff that. I think it
terribly cool and I know with this I will still create something oh so trendy.
So no, this is N... Continue reading ...

I have been doing a lot of this lately. For some unknown reason it realy makes me happy... Not sure what I will end-up using it for, but while it keeps me calm and smiling I will carry on with this meaningless little project. Lemme know if you have cool ideas on what I can use these metres and metres of French knitting, I am contemplating a rug ... Continue reading ...

Did I mention cooking and cleaning yet? And doing a mini-mini revamp on my mom’s salon. Read about it here: I did get to do two or... Continue reading ...

Two weeks in Spain has come and gone, and apart from a real dramatic end to the holiday (more about that later), it was absolutely stunning. I managed to totally unwind, not think about work and yes can you believe it, not touch yarn for the first 10 days. There after the withdrawal symptoms got the better of me and I more than made up for lost time. The dramatic ending? We missed our flight back from Madrid and spent 3 days on the Barajas airport in Madrid, trying to catch a flight back to... Continue reading ...

I spotted this yarn at Romy's Habby over the Easter weekend and instantly fell in love! You will not believe how fast this knits, it takes about an hour and half to knit one scarf (took 3 "balls" of the wool/yarn per scarf). I am not yet finished with this but here is a sneak peak at the two scarfs I am making for Kido-1 and Kido-2. Did you notice the difference in "thickness"? The scarf on the right was knitted with 9 stiches (8mm knitting needles) and only one stich in between the pom-poms,... Continue reading ...

About Me
Just love being creative, be it writing, tinkering in the studio, cooking or playing fairy-godmother to old run-down stuff.
I firmly believe that upcycling is the way of the future, there are already too many "things" on earth so rather repurpose something old and give it a beautiful creative new lease of life. It it's broken ... upcycle it!
Stick it to the mass manufacturers and support handmade product.
