There is so much to show and tell this Monday, it seems that
the busier I am at work during the week the more I can do over a weekend! That age-old
saying must be true, if you want something done – give it to a busy person.
My week last week was mostly consumed by a 16 page
newspaper, editorial, sub, editorial, sub and finding the right photos etc etc
etc. So in the evenings and over
the weekend I did not want to get even a glimpse of a computer or any other
small screen. ... Continue reading ...

CANSA is an association close to my family’s heart, we try to support them whenever we can, it really is a wonderful and much needed service they deliver. My Mother serves on the fundraising committee in Potchefstroom (Northwest Province), and although she is a very busy woman with two successful businesses she finds the time. She really is an inspiration to me! In an endeavour to also do a bit more I agreed to crochet pink hearts as part of the table centerpiece for aforementioned committ... Continue reading ...

I cannot believe that it has been nearly 5 months since my last blog. And if you have to ask me why? I really could not answer, the short answer would be live happens! Kidos, hubby, family, home and that little thing called a day-time-job just ate up all my time leaving me with precious little time to play with my toys! Not that I did nothing creative the past 5-month oh contraire! I have been very busy and very creative … just too busy to tell you how busy I am. Ooooooh I am so excited!... Continue reading ...

Winter woolies

Ok with winter on its way I have decided to pull out the wool, I have always, and I really mean always loved wool. My two grans cultivated this love for wool and since the tender age of four I have loved it with a passion. I still have my very first project a white pom-pom. Gota love pom-poms! Walking into a wool shop elicits the same emotions from me as chocolates and summer thunder-storms (somehow the shoe fetish skipped me so read shoes if that is your thing). I love touching the diffe... Continue reading ...

About Me
Just love being creative, be it writing, tinkering in the studio, cooking or playing fairy-godmother to old run-down stuff.
I firmly believe that upcycling is the way of the future, there are already too many "things" on earth so rather repurpose something old and give it a beautiful creative new lease of life. It it's broken ... upcycle it!
Stick it to the mass manufacturers and support handmade product.
