Head in the clouds
I just love cloads ... Not sure if it is the whimsical puffiness, the dream quality or the fact the in an instant a cloud can be whatever it wants to be, but I love clouds. I find myself constantly taking pictures of these giant floating dreamy skyballs. Continue reading ...
Back to Basics function
A belated blog on a year-end function I did in December. The theme was "back to basics", enjoying the simpler things in life and the budget was recession inspired. The function was presented at a private game farm and included an awesome game drive. The colours; turquoise, orange and brown. The invitations:Inside: plain white paper with black copy. Outside: brown paper with a brown satin ribbon zig-zag-sewed to the paper, The little crochet circles were inspired by the cool retro ribbon. R... Continue reading ...
Christmas Karnaval
My kids celebrate their birthdays In October, December and January. Hectic I know! So that means that I have to plan kiddy birthdays for four consecutive months, throw in Christmas and New Year and you have once insane mother. This year I got the brainwave of all brainwaves, why not present one big party, each kid may invite 10 friends, we find a date in the middle and we have a kiddies carnival! And just as I thought that my irritation with damp, leaking roofs and washing that cannot dry reached an all time high, I am rewarded with this beautiful image in my garden (maybe a better word would be swamp)! might just be a change of “familiarities”, changing your everyday environment,
as this small change may spark and lead to more creative cha... Continue reading ...

"This year I will blog more!"This is what I told myself two weeks ago, and here I am only doing my first blog today. Maybe the reason why I gave up on new years resolutions ages ago! I had a short December break, two weeks only, and my time was consumed by Christmas shopping, Christmas, New Year, cooking, cleaning, keeping kids entertained, cooking an cleaning. Did I mention cooking and cleaning yet? And doing a mini-mini revamp on my mom’s salon. Read about it here: I did get to do two or... Continue reading ...

About Me
Just love being creative, be it writing, tinkering in the studio, cooking or playing fairy-godmother to old run-down stuff.
I firmly believe that upcycling is the way of the future, there are already too many "things" on earth so rather repurpose something old and give it a beautiful creative new lease of life. It it's broken ... upcycle it!
Stick it to the mass manufacturers and support handmade product.
